Social Worker | Roxbury Crossing, Massachusetts

Step into a vital role supporting high school students as a School Social Worker in the Roxbury area. This rewarding contract opportunity begins in September and runs through January, with the possibility of extension through the end of the academic year. Youll work closely with grades 912, helping students navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges to realize their fullest potential.

• Active Massachusetts Social Work (SW) License required
• Experience supporting students in educational settings, preferably high school
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse students, staff, and families
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability is a plus but not required
• Flexibility and compassionate approach in addressing student needs

• Provide individual and group counseling to promote students emotional and academic success
• Conduct risk assessments and develop action plans for students facing social or behavioral barriers
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school administration to develop effective support strategies
• Assist in crisis intervention and connect students/families with community resources
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress to team members as appropriate
