Social Worker | Roxbury Crossing, Massachusetts

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of high school students by supporting their emotional and social wellbeing in an onsite, full-time contract role covering maternity leave. This opportunity is available immediately and extends through January 2027, working with a diverse caseload of approximately 35 students in grades 9-12 (ages 14-18).

Your expertise as a certified school social worker will empower students to overcome challenges, access resources, and reach their fullest potential within an educational environment committed to holistic development.

• Current Massachusetts School Social Worker certificate required
• Experience serving adolescents in a school setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive school atmosphere

• Provide direct social-emotional support, counseling, and crisis intervention to students
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and create effective support plans
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop strategies that promote student success
• Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community agencies
• Assist with referrals and coordination of services for students requiring additional resources
• Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Contribute to ongoing school initiatives to promote mental health and wellness
