Fullstack React, React Native, Mobile Engineer - New
This job description outlines responsibilities and qualifications for a Mobile/Fullstack Engineer who can work across React web and React Native mobile applications, contributing to both front-end and back-end tasks.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native
- Contribute to web applications using React and Next.js
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement new features
- Design and implement RESTful APIs to support mobile and web applications
- Optimize application performance and ensure high-quality user experiences
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards
- Deploy applications to Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Manage app store presence, including updates, descriptions, and screenshots
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar experience, or relevant software development experience
- Proven experience as a Mobile Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role
- 3+ years of experience with React and React Native
- Strong JavaScript/Type Script skills
- Experience with state management (e.g., Redux, MobX)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- Knowledge of mobile app deployment processes for iOS and Android
- Understanding of responsive design principles
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
- Knowledge of serverless framework tools and best practices for deployment and management
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android)
- Familiarity with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Express, MERN stack)
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Contributions to open-source projects
This position regularly works in an office environment. The role is based in the Boston office with an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.
