Why You Should Join The Mobile Push Team

The Mobile Push team is a diverse group of accomplished engineers focusing on developing products in the space of push notification marketing. As Klaviyo expands into the enterprise market, we need capable engineers who can self-start on new product features and navigate existing problems with a mindset for high scalability. The work is cross-functional, with a focus on backend development. We collaborate closely with other mobile teams to ensure end-to-end support for our features across multiple mobile platforms.

Over the past year, the Mobile Push team has scaled existing product features to support Klaviyo’s first enterprise customers and created new domains (such as geofencing) to support a mobile-first ecosystem. As the team grows, the scope of responsibilities has expanded, and we seek a highly capable software engineer to help manage increasing demands in Klaviyo’s mobile offerings.

This engineer will contribute to the expansion and maintenance of the team’s mobile push offerings, enable the build and launch of brand-new mobile-first experiences, and extend Klaviyo’s reach beyond traditional email marketing into a comprehensive mobile experience.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • You will be a core member of the Mobile Push team, working on high-scale problems and new product features in the mobile marketing space.
  • Collaborate closely with product and design to deliver the best experience for customers.
  • Take ownership of projects from inception to release.
  • Work on full-stack problems in a high-scale enterprise-level GoLang microservices stack and utilize the Django (Python) framework to help build pipelines for rendered mobile experiences.
Who You Are
  • Deep experience in full-stack roles with a focus on GoLang and/or Python development.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS systems like EC2 and RDS.
  • Exposure to frontend development, mainly in React.
Exposure to Mobile
  • Experience with mobile development on Android or iOS is a nice-to-have.
  • Open to working with different technologies as needed.
  • Proven track record of leading projects and collaborating across functions.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI technologies effectively in personal contributions.
  • Self-starter with expertise in full-stack development.
  • Adaptable to working across backend, frontend UI, cloud systems, and build tooling.
  • Ambitious with the ability to take an idea to leadership in the future.
  • Committed to continuous learning and openness to new technologies and approaches.
