Overview
Location:
Waltham, MA (hybrid). ERGO NEXT builds the only technology‑led, full‑stack provider of small business insurance. We own the entire value chain, transforming the customer experience for hundreds of thousands of small business customers across the United States.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and front‑end teams to rapidly iterate on product features.
- Own features from inception through design, coding, testing, and production at a high level of quality.
- Write clean, testable, server‑side Kotlin code and deploy it several times a day via our CI/CD pipeline, ensuring fast and reliable production releases.
- At least 5 years of proven backend development experience in Java/Kotlin or similar languages (Python, .NET).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
- Excellent knowledge of OOP concepts and best practices.
- Hands‑on development in highly distributed, cloud‑based environments; AWS experience is a plus.
- Experience with relational databases and strong SQL skills.
- Adaptable, with a passion for quickly learning new technologies and working effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
US Annual Base Salary Range: $148,000—$201,000 USD.
