Batch Programmer

Role:
Software Engineer – C / SQL / Unix / Java (Batch Applications)

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our technology team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in C programming, SQL, Unix/Linux environments, and batch application development
, who can contribute to the design, development, and support of mission-critical systems.

• Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and document moderately complex software programs
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications
• Ensure applications meet established coding standards, technical specifications, and quality benchmarks
• Perform technical analysis and contribute to component delivery
• Develop enhancements to existing systems and new batch applications
• Create and execute unit, integration, and regression test plans
• Participate in peer reviews and quality assurance activities
• Provide production support and resolve application issues in collaboration with stakeholders
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred)
• 6+ years of experience modifying and supporting moderately complex C-based batch applications
• 6+ years of experience with SQL
  , preferably embedded in C or batch Java, using Oracle Database
• 5+ years of experience working in Unix/Linux environments
• 3+ years of experience in Shell Scripting
• Experience with Git or other version control systems (Git Hub/Git Lab preferred)
• Experience resolving security vulnerabilities identified by SAST tools (e.g., Veracode)
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience supporting production systems in a mission-critical environment

• Experience developing batch applications using Java (JEE), XML, or Web Services
• Experience with automated testing and regression testing strategies
• Familiarity with IDEs such as Eclipse or Visual Studio
• Knowledge of modern Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team-oriented environment

Work Location: Remote (Candidates must be located in Massachusetts, USA )

Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Experience Level: Mid to Senior
