Engineering Manager — Internal Platforms & AI-Driven Systems

Lead the development of systems that power how entire organizations operate and scale. This role sits at the center of building internal platforms, automation tools, and AI-enabled systems that improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and unlock productivity across a growing technology organization.

You will guide teams responsible for creating the software that internal stakeholders rely on daily—from intelligent automation and data pipelines to custom applications and integrations that support functions like sales, marketing, customer operations, product development, and finance.

As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee multiple engineering teams focused on building internal tools and scalable platforms. You will define technical direction, support team growth, and ensure the delivery of reliable, high-impact systems that directly influence how work gets done across the organization.

This role blends technical leadership with people management. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners to transform operational challenges into well‑designed software solutions, while fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Define and evolve the technical strategy for internal platforms, automation systems, and AI‑driven tools. Guide architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and long‑term maintainability.

Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams, supporting hiring, onboarding, and career development. Create an environment where engineers can grow, collaborate effectively, and deliver high‑quality work.

Oversee the full lifecycle of internal systems—from design and development through deployment and ongoing optimization. Ensure teams consistently deliver on commitments while managing risks and dependencies.

Partner with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and system improvements. Translate operational needs into scalable technical solutions.

Champion the use of modern AI tools and workflows to enhance productivity and innovation. Support teams in adopting AI‑driven approaches to solve complex operational challenges.

Continuously improve internal systems, processes, and tools to support organizational growth. Ensure platforms can scale efficiently as usage and complexity increase.

Drive measurable improvements in efficiency, speed, and quality across internal workflows, enabling teams to move faster and make better decisions.

Experience 6–8+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience, including building and operating scalable, full‑stack applications in production environments.

Leadership 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams, with a track record of delivering complex, cross‑functional initiatives over extended timelines.

Technical Expertise Strong understanding of modern web architectures, distributed systems, and scalable platform design.

AI & Automation Mindset Hands‑on experience leveraging AI tools and frameworks to improve engineering productivity and build intelligent systems.

System Ownership Proven ability to take projects from concept through delivery, including planning, execution, and risk management.

Communication & Influence Strong ability to align technical and business stakeholders, clearly communicate priorities, and drive execution across teams.
