Role Overview
This is a full‑time, paid Fall 2026 Co‑op position. Eligible to work 40 hours a week from July 2026 to December 2026. Employees should anticipate working from our Cambridge, MA office approximately 3 days per week. Only students enrolled in a full‑time undergraduate or graduate program are eligible.
What you’ll do- Work with Java, MySQL, and front‑end technologies (JavaScript, Type Script, React, Remix) to build applications at Car Gurus
- Collaborate with data analysts, product managers, and other engineers
- Participate in whiteboard sessions and design conversations on engineering the best solution to the challenges at hand
- Test new insights with novel and quick experiments
- Write clean, well‑tested, and efficient code
- Engage in mentorship from highly skilled engineers
- Foundational understanding of Java, algorithms, and data structures, and front‑end technologies (JavaScript/Type Script, React, HTML, CSS)
- Eagerness to learn and expand capabilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment that pushes code daily
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bonus:
Relational or non‑relational database knowledge
