Overview
en Label Global Services, Inc., the leading provider of Integrated Packaging Management Solutions (IPM) in Boston’s North End, seeks highly motivated and bright software development engineers.
Responsibilities- Full lifecycle application development in the Microsoft Windows environment using the complete MFC and C++ stack, including graphically intensive user interfaces that integrate with web‑based business solutions.
- Work on end‑to‑end new projects and software enhancements, participating in requirement gathering, analysis, coding, testing, and deployment.
- 3‑5 years of software‑development experience, with at least 1‑2 years developing applications using the entire Microsoft MFC/C++ stack, MS SQL or Oracle back‑ends, and interfaces to web‑based .NET applications via web services and various APIs.
- Experience with file‑format interfacing (PDF, SVG, XML, PNG, JPEG) and manipulating these formats from C++ code.
- Proficiency in developing Active
X controls and implementing C++ libraries. - Expertise in writing efficient PC‑based applications, familiarity with the software‑development life cycle, IIS, Windows, database interaction, file systems, Web services, stored procedures in SQL/Oracle, and source‑management practices.
- Knowledge of user‑interface principles, workflow processes, human factors, user‑centric design, interactive design guidelines, and software‑usability methodologies.
- Excellent track record, strong references, and proven success in meeting project schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to contribute both individually and as part of a team in a dynamic, rapidly growing high‑tech environment.
- Computer science degree (BS, MS) or equivalent.
