Salesforce Developer (260003ZL)
The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) is responsible for building more homes and lowering housing costs across the Commonwealth through partnerships with municipalities, housing authorities, and community stakeholders.
OverviewThe Salesforce Developer supports the EOHLC Salesforce platform operations, support and maintenance activities, application enhancements, integrations, release management, and ongoing platform improvement initiatives. The incumbent is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions while working closely with internal technical teams and business stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities- Design, develop, support, and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, Flows, Omni Studio, OmniScripts, and Salesforce configuration capabilities.
- Support day‑to‑day Salesforce platform operations, troubleshooting, incident resolution, bug fixes, and enhancement requests.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce, Snowflake, and other enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, and ETL tools.
- Participate in application support, root cause analysis, system monitoring, and performance optimization activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
- Support CI/CD processes, metadata deployments, sandbox management, and release activities using Copado and version control tools.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions including Flows, validation rules, approval processes, and configurable business logic.
- Ensure adherence to development standards, security best practices, release procedures, and code quality expectations.
- Assist with data management activities including data imports, exports, data quality validation, and troubleshooting data‑related issues.
- Support Salesforce security administration activities including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and role hierarchy updates.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, testing activities, and deployment validation efforts.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including deployment notes, support procedures, configuration documentation, and integration specifications.
- Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and development best practices to support continuous platform improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, analysts, developers, and business users to support successful project delivery and operational stability.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience.
- Strong experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, Omni Studio, and Salesforce automation tools.
- Experience developing and supporting integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, or ETL tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise Salesforce applications in a production support and maintenance environment.
- Familiarity with Copado, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment management processes.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security model, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, and data architecture.
- Experience troubleshooting complex application, integration, and data‑related issues.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II or Administrator certifications preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Applicants must have (A) at least two (2) years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time professional or practical experience in the field of information technology application development and support, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
