Associate Software Engineer — Full Stack Product Development

Launch your engineering career by building real products that reach real users. This role is designed for early-career developers who are eager to grow, contribute meaningful code, and learn from experienced engineers in a collaborative, product-focused environment.

This opportunity is with a client of Andiamo, supporting a modern digital platform in the media and content space. You’ll work on applications used by a large and engaged audience, gaining hands‑on experience across the full technology stack.

Role Overview

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development of customer‑facing features across both frontend and backend systems. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to bring ideas to life—while building a strong foundation in software engineering best practices.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who is curious, motivated, and excited to learn by doing.

What You’ll Work On Feature Development

Design and implement full‑stack features, contributing to both user‑facing interfaces and backend services.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner with product and design teams to understand requirements and translate them into clean, maintainable code.

Code Quality & Testing

Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to ensure high‑quality, reliable software.

Debugging & Troubleshooting

Investigate and resolve issues across development and production environments, improving system stability.

Learning & Growth

Engage in technical discussions, ask thoughtful questions, and continuously build your understanding of system design and engineering trade‑offs.

Ownership & Initiative

Take responsibility for your work while actively seeking feedback and opportunities to improve.

Experience

Required Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of professional experience in software development, or equivalent experience through internships, coursework, or personal projects.
Programming Skills
  • Proficiency in at least one language commonly used in web development (e.g., JavaScript/Type Script, Python, Ruby).
Web Fundamentals
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and how web applications function in the browser.
API Knowledge
  • Basic familiarity with RESTful APIs and how frontend and backend systems communicate.
Communication
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Mindset
  • A proactive, growth‑oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience contributing to customer‑facing web applications, whether professionally or through personal projects.
  • Familiarity with modern development workflows, including version control and testing practices.
What Makes You a Strong Fit

You’re excited to build products that people actually use.

You take pride in writing clean, thoughtful code.

You’re comfortable asking questions and learning from others.

You enjoy collaborating and contributing to a team environment.

You’re motivated to grow quickly and take on increasing responsibility.

Location & Compensation

This role is based in a major U.S. city with an in‑office component, offering strong collaboration and mentorship opportunities. Compensation is competitive for an entry‑level engineering role, typically ranging from $95,000 to $105,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Why This Role Matters

Early‑career opportunities that combine real product ownership with strong mentorship are rare. In this role, you won’t just observe—you’ll contribute, learn, and grow as part of a team building meaningful digital experiences.

If you’re looking for a place to accelerate your development as an engineer while making a tangible impact, this is an excellent starting point.
