About the RoleThe Quant Developer – Full Stack will work closely with the Quantitative Development team, contributing to the evolution of proprietary research platform and supporting the quant research process through full-stack development.
Responsibilities- Quantitative Development:
Work directly as a member of the Quantitative Development team, collaborating daily with other Quantitative Developers, Researchers, and Portfolio Managers. - Platform Development:
Provide software contributions to evolve proprietary research platform, enabling user interfaces to tools such as backtesting engines, modeling platforms, and portfolio analytics. - Full-Stack Development:
Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications to support the quant research process. Leverage modern UI frameworks such as React/Next.js with a focus on accessibility and user experience. Build and optimize back-end APIs to ensure reliable interoperability between back end and front‑end systems. - Product Ownership:
Help define the future of the research platform to support business needs. Collaborate directly with Quant Researchers, Quant Developers, and Portfolio Managers to translate business and product requirements into technical solutions. Collect feedback on design and improve usability and user satisfaction. - UI/UX Design:
Create wireframes, mock‑ups, and user flows using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. Translate these into functional, visually appealing interfaces. Contribute to the development of component libraries, ensuring consistency across all products. - Operational Excellence:
Develop, test, and deploy code using CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools like Docker, and Kubernetes. Leverage Selenium to ensure that platform applications are end‑to‑end testable. - Research Tools:
Build and maintain sophisticated tools and software to facilitate data analysis, modeling, portfolio simulation, and trade execution.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong ability to prioritize and multi‑task.
- Demonstrated ability to think independently, identify creative approaches to complex problems, and articulate those ideas clearly through verbal, written, and visual media.
- Experience with modern web frameworks, such as React, Next.js, or Angular.
- Experience in UNIX/Linux/BSD environments is required.
- Strong grasp of high‑level design and system architecture as it relates to web development.
- Background in product, UI/UX development, experience with design tools including Figma.
- Background using database technologies, including relational and no‑SQL databases.
- Experience with containerization, dependency management, CI/CD workflows a plus.
- Background writing unit and integration tests using the latest testing platforms in Typescript, Python, and Java.
