About the Role
At Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, we have an exciting opportunity for a developer. The Developer is responsible for building, configuring, and supporting CRM solutions using the Pega platform s role contributes to delivering efficient, compliant, and scalable applications that support member services, care management, and operational workflows.
Daily Responsibilities- Develop and configure applications using the Pega CRM platform
- Translate business and technical requirements into functional solutions with guidance from senior team members
- Build and maintain case types, workflows, UI components, and decisioning rules in Pega
- Assist in integrating Pega applications with APIs, databases, and third‑party systems
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies
- Perform unit testing and support system and integration testing activities
- Troubleshoot defects and support production issue resolution
- Follow coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines
- Contribute to documentation including technical design and release notes
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including QA, Dev Ops, and business stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3-4 years of experience in software development
- 1-2 years of experience working with the Pega CRM platform (preferred)
- Basic understanding of Pega PRPC, case management, and workflows
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations (preferred)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of relational databases and basic data modeling
- Pega CSA certification (preferred)
- Basic understanding of healthcare or health insurance processes (preferred)
- Awareness of compliance standards such as HIPAA and data security practices
- Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and tools
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
High school degree or equivalent required unless otherwise noted above.
