Sr. Software Engineer – Amazon FSx, FSx Control Plane

We’re seeking an experienced software engineer to join the FSx Control Plane team and build the fastest cloud storage services on AWS. In this role you will design, develop, and operate highly‑scalable services, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the future direction of the FSx Control Plane.

• Design, develop, and operate scalable software services for FSx Control Plane.
• Architect and implement new features and functionality at AWS scale.
• Collaborate with a diverse, cross‑functional team to solve complex problems.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers.
• Contribute to an inclusive, high‑performing team culture.

• 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience in at least one programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred).
• Full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations (preferred).
