Embedded Software Engineer – Boston, MA (Hybrid)

This embedded software engineer will perform all embedded software development lifecycle activities for one or more of our products, including software requirements management, design, coding, unit testing, and verification. The role requires strong C/C++ and Qt/Linux skills, experience with Qt Creator, and preferably experience in embedded medical device software.

Location:

Hybrid – Boston, MA (125 Summer Street, South Station). Preference for candidates within commuting distance to Boston. No relocation package is offered.

• Software development aspects of the product, including technical debt, features/improvements, design, and support.
• Design and code reviews for team members and external partners, focusing on high‑value changes.
• Contributor to design and development of mid‑complexity features, following guidance from senior team members and leads.
• Consider best practices for cybersecurity and incorporate them into all development activities.
• Experience with device security, networking, IoT, wireless, and/or 802.1X is a plus.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or BSEE.
• 2+ years of related experience using C/C++ in a software engineering role.
• Experience with real‑time operating systems preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Base salary range: $68,200 – $116,000 per annum. Incentives and bonus structures are available as described in the company compensation plans.
