Software Developer, Data Pipelines - Generative AI

Report:
You will report to the Senior AI/ML Development Manager in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Solutions Team.

Location:

We support hybrid work, and you work near our Boston, Massachusetts or Toronto, Canada offices.

• Help develop scalable, distributed systems and microservices in a production setting.
• Help develop scalable and resilient data ingestion and processing pipelines, monitoring and self‑healing systems that power AI-based solutions for AEC workflows.
• Contribute to the implementation of individual software components, with a high emphasis on quality, test‑driven development, and sound software engineering practices.
• Participate in software design reviews, conduct peer code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development team.
• Write unit, functional, regression tests for the code you create, and contribute to the test automation, continuous integration, and deployment processes together with everyone else in the development team.

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience writing code in Java or Python.
• Basic understanding of data ingestion and processing pipelines, monitoring and self‑healing systems.
• Experience with serverless and managed Amazon Web Services including Lambdas, AWS Step, and SQS.
• Familiarity with Data Lake or Warehouses, ETLs.
• Experience with microservices and RESTful web services.
• Understanding of modern software practices including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologies.

• Familiarity with AWS IAM to develop secure solutions, specifically with resource access policies and IAM roles.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure as code solutions, such as CDK or Cloud Formation.
• Experience in the AEC industry, Autodesk products such as Revit, and AEC data schemas and standards.

• You easily collaborate with other members of an Agile team to get products and components developed and completed.
