We are looking for a Software Development Manager to play a leadership role on this growing service. FSx for Windows provides a fully‑managed Windows file system for AWS customers in a variety of verticals, and recently released improved management capabilities with the launch of FSRM support. As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team designing and building transformative new customer experiences on Amazon FSx for Windows. Delivering reliable and high‑performance services and features at AWS scale requires technical leaders with extraordinary expertise and boundless creativity.

• Lead a team of software engineers in delivery and operational excellence of an AWS service
• Hire, mentor, and promote engineers
• Work with teams across AWS to build new solutions
• Build mechanisms to drive the highest standards within your team
• Work with product managers, principal engineers, and senior leadership to define the technical roadmap and strategy for FSx

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams
• 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi‑tier web services
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

• Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
