Job Description

The Vertex's Workplace Services co‑op program is a 6‑month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate or advanced degree. It offers a launchpad to gain meaningful experience in DTE functional areas and to develop career pathways.

The IT Service Management (ITSM) Co‑Op will work with the ITSM team to improve how our IT services are managed. You will be involved in planning, change, adoption, operation, and continual enhancement of these practices to make IT services seamless, meet business needs, and improve user satisfaction.

• Assist in the project delivery of the IT Software Asset Program to improve the Service Catalog experience for requesting and onboarding software.
• Manage the transition of new or modified RPMS (Research, Preclinical, Manufacturing and Supply chain – scientific enablement) IT software into the operational framework (Service Now SAM / Software Asset Management).
• Analyze metrics to assess service performance and gauge user satisfaction.

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with IT, sourcing/contracts, and scientific teams.
• Motivated self‑starter.
• Data analysis and reporting skills.
• Prior experience with Service Now (a plus).
• Process‑design mapping using Visio (a plus).
• PowerPoint (a plus).

• Full‑time availability, 40 hours per week from July to December 2026.

• Full‑time, paid co‑op: $20.00 – 35.00 USD per hour.

Flex designation:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
