Software Development Engineer

What you’ll do

Perform software engineering duties in a fast-moving, data-driven environment to improve search experience and performance. Duties include collaborating with engineers, designers, project managers, and data analysts to take an idea through the entire software development life cycle, including concept, technical design, implementation, testing, and measurement; implementing full consumer‑facing features, integrating with key partners or technologies, and conducting A/B tests to help determine opportunities to improve function of technology;

advocating for new technologies and methodologies; creating and enhancing new product offerings for car dealers to help their vehicles reach interested shoppers; writing clean, well-tested, and efficient code; engaging in the full software development lifecycle including conceptualizing, designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, monitoring and improving applications; participating in whiteboard sessions and design conversations on engineering the best solution to the challenges at hand, and collaborating in a cross‑functional team with data analysts, product managers, and other engineers;

continuously learning and expanding capabilities.

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• One (1) year of experience with each of the following:

• Working in JavaScript development;
• Type Script, React, React Native and/or Angular or similar framework;
• HTML5, CSS;
• React state management using React Context APIs;
• Integrating with third‑party libraries including Jest for unit testing;
• Swift, Kotlin, Objective‑C, and/or Java.

The displayed range represents the expected annual base salary / On‑Target Earnings (OTE) for this position.

Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and other factors such as job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This annual base salary forms part of a comprehensive Total Rewards Package. In addition to benefits, this role may qualify for discretionary bonuses/incentives and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Position Pay Range: $131,082—$155,000 USD
