Crestron Electronics invites motivated students to join the XiO Cloud Engineering Team as a Summer‑Fall Software Engineering Co‑op in Rockleigh, NJ or Boston, MA. XiO Cloud is an enterprise‑grade, cloud‑based web application that enables IT administrators and AV professionals to remotely monitor, manage, and configure IoT edge devices deployed in commercial environments worldwide.
The co‑op will provide hands‑on experience with full‑stack web development, modern cloud application architecture, and best practices in software engineering. Students will contribute to both backend and frontend components while learning from experienced engineering professionals.
Responsibilities- Contribute to well‑defined projects supporting the XiO Cloud platform.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining RESTful API endpoints using C# and ASP.NET Core.
- Collaborate with engineers to build responsive and accessible user interface components within an Angular‑based single‑page application.
- Support backend data services that manage device state and configuration data.
- Assist in integrating frontend and backend layers to support new product features.
- Participate in software testing, debugging, and maintenance activities.
- Assist in developing and executing unit and integration tests to support software quality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, team discussions, and technical design conversations.
- Document technical findings, implementation details, and test results to support team knowledge sharing.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States now and in the future.
- Strong programming fundamentals and object‑oriented programming knowledge.
- Understanding of software development fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
- Familiarity with version control using Git.
- Coursework, project experience, or familiarity with C# and the .NET platform.
- Familiarity with a modern SPA framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Type Script.
- Exposure to relational or No
SQL databases and basic querying.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming concepts (async/await).
- Exposure to RESTful API development and client‑server application architecture.
- Interest in cloud‑based applications and full‑stack web development.
