We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join a high-performing digital engineering team focused on building and enhancing customer-facing web applications. This is an opportunity to develop scalable, cloud-based solutions that support online transactions, account management, and exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Java, cloud technologies, and microservices architecture, along with a collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Candidates who meet the required technical qualifications and are comfortable with a hybrid work schedule will be prioritized for interviews.

• 8+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Strong expertise with Java, including multithreading, concurrency, and the Executor Framework.
• Hands-on experience building applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and RESTful APIs.
• Proven experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database management systems.
• Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS, including services such as ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, SNS, or SQS.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or comparable automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of application performance optimization, scalability, and web application security best practices.
• Experience working with messaging technologies and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced Agile development environment.

You will design, build, and optimize secure, scalable backend solutions that power high-traffic digital applications. Working closely with product managers, architects, Dev Ops engineers, and fellow developers, you will deliver reliable software that improves customer experiences and supports business objectives. Success in this role requires strong technical leadership, attention to quality, and the ability to solve complex engineering challenges throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance customer-facing digital platforms that support online transactions and self-service functionality.
• Design and implement microservices that are reliable, secure, and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate with product owners and solution architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services across distributed systems.
• Optimize application performance through tuning, monitoring, and scalability improvements.
• Partner with Dev Ops teams to support automated build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while following engineering best practices.
• Provide accurate development estimates and actively contribute to planning, design discussions, and code reviews.
