About On Ramp
OnRamp transforms B2B customer onboarding into a revenue driver. Our platform automates workflows, streamlines playbooks, and accelerates time-to-value, helping enterprises reduce onboarding time by up to 70%. Backed by leading investors (we just raised our $15M Series A) and trusted by Fortune 15 companies, we’re redefining how companies bring new customers online.
We’ve built the system of record for post‑sale workflows, powering onboarding and expansion for enterprise customers including Fortune 15 companies. Now we’re evolving that foundation into something much bigger: an intelligent system that actually does the work.
We’re building an agentic platform that eliminates friction in the B2B customer relationship.
The RoleWe’re hiring an engineer to own our infrastructure — the AWS platform, deployment systems, and tooling that lets a small, elite team ship at the pace of a much larger one.
This is a high‑impact individual contributor role reporting directly to our Head of Engineering. You’ll have end‑to‑end ownership of how our software is built, deployed, secured, and operated — including the infrastructure behind our AI agents. And like everyone on this team, you’ll use AI itself as a core tool of the trade: agents and LLM tooling for solving infrastructure problems, not just supporting them.
We’re deliberately not posting a checklist of certifications and years of experience. We care about what you can build and run, not what your last title was — we’ll calibrate level, scope, and compensation to you.
What You’ll DoOwn our AWS infrastructure end to end: architecture, infrastructure‑as‑code, networking, cost, and scale
Build the CI/CD and deployment systems that let engineers ship to production many times a day with confidence
Attack Dev Ops problems with AI: use coding agents and LLM tooling to write and refactor infrastructure code, debug incidents, automate runbooks, analyze logs, and systematically eliminate toil
Build the infrastructure behind our AI: agent execution environments, LLM observability, evaluation pipelines, and the plumbing that makes agentic features reliable in production
Own observability, reliability, and incident response — enterprise customers depend on us, and you’ll keep the platform worthy of that trust
Strengthen our security and compliance posture (we’re SOC 2 and HIPAA compliant) as we move upmarket
Multiply the team: build paved roads, automation, and AI‑powered tooling that make every engineer here faster
Deep, hands‑on AWS experience — you’ve designed, built, and operated production infrastructure that real businesses depend on
Fluent in infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CDK, or similar) and modern deployment practices: containers, CI/CD, zero‑downtime releases
You already build with AI. Coding agents and LLM tools are part of how you write IaC, investigate incidents, and automate operations — and you’re constantly finding new ways to apply them
You reach for AI before you reach for toil: when you see a recurring problem, your instinct is to build an agent or automation that solves it permanently
A security mindset by default — you’ve supported or driven compliance efforts like SOC 2 or HIPAA, or you’re ready to own that surface
A builder at heart — comfortable writing real software, not just configuration
High ownership and pragmatic — you measure yourself on the team’s velocity and the platform’s reliability, not the number of fires fought
Greenfield ownership: define the platform for an AI‑first company at exactly the stage where your decisions compound
Infrastructure for agents is a new discipline — you’ll be inventing practices, not following a runbook
Your leverage is the whole team’s velocity: on a lean team, great platform work is visible immediately
We’re a Boston‑centered engineering culture — our home base is a top‑floor office in Fort Point, and we do our best work when we can get in a room together. We prefer candidates local to Boston who want to be in the office a couple of days a week. That said, for the right person, we’re open to remote.
