Senior Software Engineer, Robotics Data Foundation (Cloud)

The Robotics Data Foundation (RDF) team builds Anduril's vehicle telemetry backbone, from onboard systems to cloud, enabling ingestion, normalization, and accessible data for downstream analysis tools and workflows.

As an engineer on the Robotics Data Foundation team, you will design and build cloud systems that host ingestion pipelines, storage, and tooling for vehicle telemetry from onboard systems to the cloud. You will normalize data across flight controllers, vehicle management systems, mission systems, and sensor payloads, and expose it to downstream analysis tools. You will build infrastructure that supports large-scale batch ingestion as well as low-latency streaming.

• Build reliable and performant cloud data systems

  Develop high-availability data platforms capable of processing large volumes of telemetry.
• Design extensible telemetry and data architectures
  :
  Enable easy integration of diverse data sources into a standardized ingestion framework.
• Enable data-driven engineering in real time
  :
  Deliver live telemetry streams and recorded data to cloud destinations and analysis tools for engineers, operators, and test teams.
• Build and develop cloud-native systems that are edge-compatible
  :
  Deliver cloud data platform capabilities to edge nodes for offline or air-gapped telemetry capture and field data systems for classified environments.
• Eagerly engage with our customers

  Collaborate with engineering teams to understand data requirements and iteratively deliver solutions that meet needs and constraints.

• Experience with modern lakehouse architectures (Iceberg, Delta Lake), ETL systems (Flyte, Dagster, Airflow, Argo Workflows), and distributed data processing engines (Spark, Trino).
• Experience developing and operating high-throughput streaming data pipelines (e.g., Spark Streaming, Flink, Kafka).
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Rust, and/or Go (team predominantly uses Python and Rust for core backend services and pipelines).
• Experience building and operating cloud systems with containerization and deployability technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Git Ops systems like FluxCD / ArgoCD).
• U.S. Person status is required to access export controlled data. Eligibility to obtain/maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance is desirable.

Salary

US Salary Range: $220,000 - $292,000 USD

The salary range is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, including base salary, experience, education, and critical skills. Equity grants are included in many full-time offers, and Anduril provides a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
