Technical Architect – Enterprise Integrations

Position OverviewOur Client is seeking a Technical Architect – Enterprise Integrations to lead the design and delivery of enterprise integration solutions across investment, reporting, and operational platforms. This is a hands‑on architecture role responsible for defining API strategy, microservices, cloud data integrations, and enterprise integration patterns that connect critical business applications.
The ideal candidate has deep experience building secure, scalable integration architectures within the wealth management, asset management, or financial services industry and enjoys partnering with engineering, business, and data teams to drive modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities- Design and lead enterprise integration architecture using APIs, microservices, middleware, and event‑driven solutions.
- Develop scalable integration strategies across investment platforms, portfolio management systems, reporting tools, data platforms, and third‑party applications.
- Define technical standards for APIs, authentication, data contracts, monitoring, resiliency, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with engineering, product, business, security, and vendor teams to deliver enterprise technology initiatives.
- Drive architecture governance, solution design, technical reviews, and implementation planning.
- Build secure, reliable data integration solutions supporting analytics, automation, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Ensure solutions meet regulatory, security, audit, and data governance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the SDLC, from architecture through production support.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise integration.
- 5+ years supporting wealth management, asset management, investment operations, or financial services platforms.
- Proven experience designing enterprise APIs, microservices, middleware, and distributed integrations.
- Experience with cloud data platforms, SQL, data modeling, and enterprise data architecture.
- Strong understanding of investment operations, portfolio data, client reporting, and financial systems.
- Experience leading technical teams and collaborating across engineering and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and architectural documentation skills.
- Ability to work onsite three days per week.
- Experience integrating platforms such as Addepar, Canoe, Snowflake
, or similar investment technology solutions. - Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, ETL/ELT, event streaming, messaging, and modern integration frameworks.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops, CI/CD, containers, serverless architecture, and observability.
- Experience with AI‑enabled automation, document processing, or intelligent workflow platforms.
- Background working within regulated financial environments with strong security and compliance standards.
