Our client seeks a Senior Java Developer to build a new cloud-based application. The consultant will design and develop services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices on AWS. The role requires strong understanding of non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, maintainability, and security.

Rate: $65.00 to $72.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Design and develop cloud-native services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
Implement microservices on AWS with attention to reliability and scalability.
Develop integrations and web services using SOAP and REST.
Build data access layers using ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or MyBatis.
Contribute to UI interactions leveraging jQuery as needed.
Apply design patterns and object-oriented principles.
Optimize applications for performance, security, and maintainability.

Experience Requirements:

8+ years of Java/J2EE with strong object-oriented design and design patterns.
Hands-on Spring 3.x and Spring Boot with microservices.
Strong AWS experience.
Experience with ORM frameworks (Hibernate, MyBatis).
Proficiency with SQL and relational databases such as DB2.
Experience building SOAP and RESTful web services.
Understanding of non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, maintainability, and security.
jQuery experience for front-end interactions.
Integration tool experience is a plus.
Excellent design skills.
