Build the applications layer that turns sensor data into real insights utilities use to manage the power grid.
The successful Full Stack Software Engineering (Applications) Co-op will help develop our cloud-hosted and on-prem products that turn real-time sensor data into actionable insights for utilities. You’ll work across the stack, from Python data pipelines to React/Type Script web apps, all while contributing to a product that’s reshaping how the electric grid is monitored and managed.

Core Responsibilities and Key Performance Objectives
- Design, build, test and maintain software applications and internal tools to support data health and application administration
- Integrate with internal and external APIs, cloud services, and relational databases
- Contribute to new system design and proof-of-concept exploration
- Become a valued member of a high-performing software engineering team by supporting team goals of continuous improvement and our culture of growth-mindset
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related degree
- Understanding of object-oriented and functional design principles, relational databases, distributed software design, and Agile methodologies for team software development
- Strong and disciplined approach to test-driven software development
- Initiative, creative problem-solving skills and team collaboration
- Desired experience and programming languages:
- Java script & Python (required);
Typescript/SQL/React/Node (preferred) - Experience working on web application front ends + RESTful API backends
- Cloud infrastructure; AWS (preferred), Azure and/or Google Cloud
- (Optionally) Math and science Python libraries like Pandas or Num Py

The ideal candidate would be available from January 19-August 27 2027
, working 40 hours a week. All co-ops will work from Line Vision’s Charlestown, MA headquarters 2-4 days per week, with specific schedules determined in collaboration with your direct manager.
Line Vision has a standard US holiday schedule, and up to a week of additional unpaid time off is permissible. Upon successful internship or co-op completion, you will be considered for a full-time position upon graduation.
Compensation: $25 per hour
