SEAS Program Specialist - Yoga Instructor

Barnstable Recreation is seeking a knowledgeable, qualified, and certified Yoga Instructor to lead a Monday after-school yoga class. The individual must have expertise in simple Hatha Yoga and commit to at least 2 hours per week. Classes are held at the Barnstable United Elementary School, with yoga mats provided.

• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Successful completion of a CORI and SORI background check
• Experience as a Yoga Instructor

• Lead children's yoga classes.
• Instruct participants in simple Hatha Yoga techniques.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all class attendees.
• Maintain a welcoming and inclusive class environment.
• Collaborate with Barnstable Recreation staff on class scheduling and logistics.

• Additional certifications in specialized yoga techniques.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet varying participant needs.
• Passion for promoting health and wellness through yoga practice.
