FC Greater Boston Bolts Inc., a competitive soccer club in the Greater Boston area, is seeking passionate and committed coaches to lead soccer teams from U7-U19 ages for the 2026/27 season. We have openings at various playing levels and age groups in locations including the Boston, Central, North, Metro North, West and South Regions.
This season role includes coaching during the fall and spring outdoor seasons, as well as participating in indoor winter training sessions to ensure consistent player development throughout the year.
The ideal candidate will bring a player centered coaching approach, strong communication skills, and a desire to grow within a collaborative club environment. Additional coaching opportunities are available through our year round soccer clinics.
Key Responsibilities Team Coaching (Fall & Spring)- Coach 1-3 teams (various age groups and abilities available)
- Deliver 3 structured training sessions per week per team.
- Manage weekend games, tournaments, and showcases as scheduled.
- Implement the club’s developmental curriculum with an emphasis on technical skill and tactical understanding.
- Track player progress and provide regular feedback to players and families.
- Lead weekly indoor training sessions focused on skill development, quick decision-making, and small-sided play.
- Maintain continuity in team training and player development throughout the winter months.
- Help adapt curriculum to suit indoor formats and facility constraints.
- Certain teams may take part in a winter indoor league or futsal league
- Attend club meetings, training workshops, and seasonal events (e.g., tryouts).
Collaborate with other coaches and group leaders to ensure consistent messaging and methodology.
- Serve as a positive representative of the club’s values, mission, and commitment to holistic player growth.
- Licensing:
Minimum USSF Grass Roots License or equivalent (or actively pursuing). - Experience:
At least 1 year of experience is ideal. - Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends during the fall, winter, and spring seasons.
- Ability to work by themself or as part of a team.
- Must pass CORI/SORI background checks and complete Safe Sport training.
- Playing or coaching background at the collegiate level.
- Flexible, team-oriented mindset with a passion for teaching and mentoring.
Seasonal stipend based on experience and licensing level. Additional income opportunities available through camps and potentially teams.
