Transportation Attendants (Bus Monitors) are responsible for monitoring and assisting students during transportation to and from school. They report to the Principal/Headmaster of the assigned school.
Reports to: Head of School
Job Overview: SPED Cab Monitors monitor and assist students with special needs during transportation.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of school bus safety.
Ability to:
- Operate safety and adaptive equipment, including wheelchairs, lifts, and restraint systems.
- Move wheelchairs on and off the bus as needed.
Qualifications - Required:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to repeatedly enter/exit the bus via steps.
- Reside in or be willing to move to Boston.
- Ability to lift 25-49 lbs.
- Proficiency in English.
Qualifications - Preferred:
- Experience working with children or in a school setting.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
