Position Purpose
This role accelerates business value by moving completed pallets from the lines. The pallets must be shrink wrapped and placed to be stacked or loaded onto trucks. Additional responsibilities may include moving completed pallets from the staging area and triple stacking them in the freezers. It leads, collaborates and demonstrates the lean principles and utilizes lean methodologies and tools to facilitate continuous process improvements and value creation for our customers, employees and shareholders.
- Move pallets from the line with a forklift and place them to be shrink wrapped.
- Operate the shrink wrap machine.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers using proper documentation.
- Operate the forklift in a safe and responsible manner to avoid jeopardizing equipment or employees.
- Perform an accurate inventory count in all freezers.
- Retrieve triple stacked product safely and load trucks efficiently.
- Ensure a limited number of short pallets in the freezer.
- Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.
- Adhere to the Code of Business Ethics and maintain honesty and integrity.
- Maintain high safety standards.
- Read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Internal: P&V Supervisor, P&V Maintenance Personnel, Delivery Supervisor and Drivers. External:
Dock customers.
Work must be performed safely to avoid injuries and property damages. It must be done in such a manner as to maintain product flow in the production room while stacking ice and loading trucks.
Supervisory ResponsibilityNo supervisory responsibility.
Education and ExperienceMust have a high school diploma or GED with the ability to count product and complete simple paperwork. Must be certified as a forklift operator.
Working Conditions /Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and stack product up to 45 lbs in 12‑hour shifts. Must be able to work in room temperatures of 45–60°F and in freezers at 15°F. Must be able to sit, talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms, and occasionally stand and walk. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
