Truck Driver CDL A Regional

Position Overview

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Worcester, MA. This role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Weekly pay starting at $2,000 or more
• Hourly pay $29.00 per hour
• 40+ hours per week with overtime after 40 hours
• Earn extra $1 per hour for every 3 endorsements/certifications
• $50 per diem per night
• Monday–Friday schedule (home time stability)
• $1,000 annual tenure bonus

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/Unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Authority to load/unload freight
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

• Regional solo routes in New England States and East Coast
• Paid travel + hotel or sleeper provided for overnights
• Tractor type:
  Day Cabs and Sleepers – possibility of 26' straight truck
• Trailer types: 48'–53' flatbeds, dry vans, reefers, conestogas, curtain sides and container
• Freight mix: touch & no-touch
• Equipment provided: pallet jack, lift gate, rollers or moffett
• 1 year of flatbed experience
• Hazmat, tanker & doubles/triples endorsements required
• Experience with strapping, chaining & tarping

• Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations
• Drivers are the captain – you make safety decisions, and your job is protected
