CDL Driver LLH

Newport News, Virginia – Hiring Range: $15.60 - $20.25/Hour. Actual pay determined by relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Coordinates and executes all transportation needs for residents to include medical appointments, facility outings, etc. Assists all departments with transportation needs of residents and/or potential prospects. Responsible for vehicle maintenance and general upkeep. Responsible for helping transportation coordinator get vehicles in for maintenance and service calls.

• Strives to meet/exceed the needs of the facility's customers/residents by demonstrating flexibility and sense of urgency to create a service excellence experience.
• Assures safe practices in accordance with RHS policies and procedures.
• Notifies Transportation Coordinator or Director of Resident Services when vehicle maintenance is required.
• Plans transportation routes to reduce vehicle mileage and gas consumption.
• Completes paperwork to ensure all records are accurate and timely.
• Maintains transportation and maintenance logs for facility vehicles and logs residents' participation on facility outings.
• Prioritizes and accomplishes assignments with accuracy and timeliness (meeting schedules, deadlines, minimal customer complaints).
• Maintains positive interactions with team members, residents and visitors.
• Assists customers with billing inquiries, questions, or concerns and provides timely follow-up.

• Education – High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: additional education.
• Experience – 2 years. Preferred:
  Experience driving commercial vehicles.
• Licenses and Certifications
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – DMV. Required upon hire.
  • Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) – American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC). Required upon hire.
  • First Aid – American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC). Required upon hire.
• Drives personal vehicle for RHS business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions of the job.
• Valid Driver’s License Required.
