HDM Driver

POSITION: HDM Driver II DEPARTMENT:

Non-Exempt FULL TIME: 30 Hours Weekly

Primary Responsibilities:

Load and verify meal packages against daily delivery schedules.

Maintain food safety and handling procedures, including conducting temperature checks.

Greet clients warmly and ensure a positive and respectful interaction.

Monitor client well-being and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel

Follow established protocols if a client does not answer the door, including contacting dispatch.

Report customer requested changes in delivery service to dispatch

Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to company policies.

Attend appropriate training sessions as required by City Fresh Foods Policy Perform basic vehicle safety checks and maintain cleanliness.

Assist with other delivery or operational tasks as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to read and speak English; bilingual skills (Spanish or Cape Verdean) are a plus.

Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Must provide a personal vehicle that meets Massachusetts minimum insurance and safety requirements.

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to follow directions and work independently.

Compassionate and patient when interacting with elderly and disabled individuals.

Strong time management and reliability.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

At least six months of experience in delivery required.

Physical Requirements:

Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods.

Physically able to enter and exit vehicle multiple times per shift.
