Warehouse Attendant – Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center

Pay Rate: $26.28 an hour

The Warehouse Attendant is responsible for receiving and distributing product and equipment.

• Follows receiving, purchasing, and distribution guidelines.
• Uses a computer to enter information on receiving and distribution of products.
• Cross‑references purchase orders with delivery invoices to ensure receiving accuracy.
• Maintains logs of cooler and freezer temperatures and ensures warehouse refrigeration areas and equipment function properly; reports malfunctions or repairs needed to management.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of warehouse storage areas.
• Practices proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment.
• Upon receipt of goods, dates and rotates all products when storing and prevents cross‑contamination.
• Thoroughly completes all warehouse set‑up and breakdown responsibilities.
• Delivers exceptional service.
• Acts with a sense of urgency regarding guest and event needs.

• Employs good safety and sanitation practices to prevent hazards such as slips, trips, falls, and burns, and reports injuries, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions to management.
• Contacts Public Safety in the event of emergencies.
• Adheres to company guidelines, policies, and property rules.
• Follows responsible alcohol service policies.
• Thoroughly completes all responsibilities and assignments.

• Displays a positive attitude.
• Assists others when necessary or requested.

• Walks and stands intermittently.
• Frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, and bends.
• Lifts and transports inventory weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Pushes and pulls equipment and product weighing up to 250 pounds.
• Reads, speaks, writes, and comprehends English.
• Possesses basic computer and math skills.
