Summary
The warehouse associate is responsible for the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, both outgoing and incoming shipments. Duties include selecting products from the warehouse, loading and securing goods onto pallets, transporting inventory to the designated delivery area, and efficiently loading merchandise. The associate will also unload stock from delivery vehicles and store it in specified warehouse locations while maintaining a clean, orderly work environment and adhering to safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Successful performance requires the ability to follow instructions and work in an organized manner, along with a strong work ethic, focus, and advanced problem‑solving skills.
Location:
Boston facility.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the work environment.
- Facilitate the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Receive inventory deliveries.
- Accurately count and verify inventory.
- Inspect inventory for damages or defects.
- Communicate discrepancies to appropriate parties.
- Label and mark stock items.
- Store inventory for accessibility.
- Load and wrap stock on pallets.
- Construct loads using a forklift and an electronic pallet jack.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior general labor experience, particularly in a refrigerated warehouse, is preferred.
- Proficient forklift operation essential.
- Completion of background investigation and drug screening mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good moral character.
- Willingness to work in a cold climate (~35ºF).
- Physical ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand or walk up to 8 hours per shift, and frequently push, pull, bend, squat, and reach.
- Physical strength, agility, and dexterity to work at heights and adverse conditions.
- Positive work history and reliable attendance.
- Availability for extended hours as required.
- Safety competence; ability to operate forklift, reach truck, and electric pallet jack.
