Job Overview

Warehouse Order Picker / Parker – Part Time Seasonal – Clinton, MA.

Pay: $18.00 per hour. Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

• Assist in the production of book fairs by packing metal cases, boxes, and displays with books and non-book products according to corporate process and procedure, meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in packing all components and sub-components for every case, box, and display.
• Consistently meet minimum required production, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Ensure all outbound cases, boxes, and displays are clean, safe, and in good condition.
• Assist in processing returned book fairs by unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays, following corporate process and procedure.
• Monitor inventory levels on applicable component product lines to ensure book fairs can be properly packed.
• Learn and demonstrate basic scanner proficiency (item inquiries and requisitioning replenishment of selected locations).
• Assist in the picking and packing of customer reorders.
• Maintain a neat, clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
• Perform seasonal inventory production-line resets in partnership with co‑workers.
• Learn and demonstrate proficiency in all Fair Finishing and Assembly functions, including QA scanning functions.
• Participate in physical inventory functions, including inventory counting.
• Assist in conducting Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events.
• Handle all merchandise carefully at all times.
• Utilize warehouse equipment and tools properly to increase productivity, efficiency, and safety; report any unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or injuries.
• Apply proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, climbing ladders, and pushing/pulling display cases.
• Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards according to company standards.
• Operate motorized pallet jacks upon successful completion of the SBF power equipment training program.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality as required by the work schedule and company standards.
• Maintain a courteous and positive relationship with all co‑workers and customers.
• Comply with drug and alcohol free policy.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency (e.g., ordering replenishment) with minimal errors.
• Strong team player with the ability to get along with co‑workers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Physical ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs, lift boxes 30 lbs to a height of 70 inches, push or pull cases over 300 lbs, stand, bend, kneel, and tolerate non‑air‑conditioned environments.

• Lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs occasionally on a daily basis.
• Lifting boxes up to 30 lbs to a height of 70 inches occasionally.
• Pushing wheeled cases that may weigh over 300 lbs with an initial force of up to 50 lbs and sustained force of up to 30 lbs.
• Standing, reaching above and below shoulders, squatting, bending, kneeling as necessary.
• Tolerating work in a non‑air‑conditioned environment.
• Accurately following detailed assembly instructions.
• Using hands, fingers, and arms to handle items; standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling frequently; sitting and climbing occasionally.
• Visual acuity and peripheral vision required for tasks.
