Assistant Professor - Nursing (2 Positions)

The School of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Washington Bothell (UWB) invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time (100% FTE) basis for a nine-month academic appointment, (3-year term, renewable) beginning September 16, 2027.

The base salary range for this position will be $10,200 - $10,500 per month during the nine-month academic year ($91,800 - $94,500 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage with:
1) approaches to teaching, scholarship, and/or service that integrate social justice considerations,
2) transformational learning, innovative pedagogy, and engaged scholarship in an inclusive and interdisciplinary culture of learning,
3) pedagogical approaches for teaching in classroom-based, hybrid and online settings, and
4) community connections and outreach efforts within a community, clinical, or public health context.

Our interdisciplinary school provides all SNHS faculty with the opportunity to engage in creative and innovative approaches to health-related courses and scholarship. Our academic programs are poised for exciting new directions in the coming years. SNHS currently offers the following degrees:
1) a RN to BSN degree,
2) a BA degree in Health Studies emphasizing community/public health and social justice,
3) a Master's of Nursing (MN) emphasizing education, leadership, and community/global health,
4) a Master's of Science in Community Health and Social Justice. We also have three minors in Health Studies, Global Health, and Health Education and Promotion. All faculty are expected to contribute across our programs and synergize with the department's mission, which is to advance social justice, health, and nursing practice through innovative pedagogy, research, and community engagement.

Located in the heart of the Puget Sound region, the University of Washington Bothell is one of the most dynamic public universities in the state of Washington. UW Bothell is a student-centered campus known for engaging students through classes, team projects, and research in which students connect what they learn or create in the classroom with the broader community.
