Service Now Developer (with Dev Ops)

Location:

Bothell, WA or Dallas, TX
*** MUST BE LOCAL, NO RELOS AT THIS TIME
*** Hybrid 3x per week onsite in either location

Duration: 6-month contract with potential for hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our Dev Ops team, dedicated to managing and supporting multiple Service Now environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance and health of our platform through effective incident resolution, system maintenance, application development, and tier 3 support.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance Service Now applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
Provide Tier 3 support, assisting both operations and development teams with complex issues.
Develop and implement ITSM change management solutions and performance optimization strategies.
Collaborate with team members on troubleshooting and independent project management.
Document technical processes and develop scripts to automate user tasks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification (mandatory).
Certified Implementor and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications (strongly preferred).
Proficiency in Service Now modules: ITOM, ITSM, PPM, HAM & SAM, CMDB, CSDM.
Experience with JavaScript, MID server management, SSO configurations, and asset discovery.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix, Windows administration, and basic networking.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies, ITIL frameworks, and ITSM certification (or equivalent experience).

Specializations:

Change Management CI/CD Automation:

Mid-level Service Now developer with two years of experience in ITSM change management on the Service Now platform.
ITSM Implementator and CAD certification.
Solid JavaScript experience.

Performance Management:

Solid Service Now administrator with experience in Service Now platform performance optimization and scalability.
CSA certification with 2 years of Service Now implementation/development experience.
Service Now Administration Advanced course completion.
Solid Linux/Unix user and basic admin experience.
Basic JavaScript development and JMeter experience.

Testing:

Proficient in SN performance troubleshooting and in-depth knowledge of diagnosing and resolving system performance issues.
Advanced expertise in Service Now architecture and understanding of its three-tier structure.
Demonstrated grasp of Service Now’s functionalities and capabilities.
Advanced expertise in JMeter load testing and performance testing methodologies.
Ability to extract meaningful insights from JMeter tests and apply troubleshooting expertise for test result improvement.
Proficiency in constructing and configuring JMeter scripts to support other teams with their testing endeavors.
Experience in Service Now Performance tooling, including Instance Observer, Application Insights, and Performance Dashboard.
Knowledgeable in CLIENT specific domain knowledge, including policies, tools, security policies, and application use cases.
Practical experience in managing integrations of Service Now with third-party systems and troubleshooting performance problems within the Service Now platform.
Proficiency in Service Now Development, including Event Management, ITSM, and Configuration Management.
