Senior Buyer-Planner
Verathon® is looking for a Senior Buyer-Planner to become the newest member of our Operations located in Bothell, WA. In this role, you will perform a variety of purchasing assignments, to ensure we achieve our corporate goals relating to raw inventory availability, supplier costs, on-time delivery and quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Own the end to end supply chain and supplier relationship for assigned commodities
- Evaluate supplier capacity required to support customer demand
- Analyze demand and place purchase orders for materials and ensure supplier commitments are met
- Manage assigned inventory within predefined Min/Max levels and countermeasure as needed
- Ensure the third party logistics facility achieves the required inventory level
- Negotiate with suppliers to mitigate potential delivery issues
- Analyze supplier responses and make recommendations to business when there are constraints
- Manage NPI transitions to production
- Participate in Supplier Business Review meetings
- Closely monitor supplier OTD and escalate as needed
- Escalate EOL/LTB decisions and associated supplier negotiations (e.g. pricing, lead-time)
- Collaborate with A/P team members to promptly reconcile PO/invoice discrepancies
- Work with MRB team to process RTV's in a timely fashion
- Respond to and update ECR's and ECO's as needed
- Purchasing lead for annual regulatory audits (e.g. FDA, TUV, ISO)
- Identify potential supply chain risks and offers creative solutions
- Partners with Sourcing on special projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 8+ years of purchasing experience
- Experience purchasing & planning electrical, electro-mechanical and mechanical components
- Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers
- Experience in supply planning and/or experience managing subcontract PO's
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present information
- Ability to create partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Understanding of S & OP process
- Understanding of MRP systems, bill of materials, engineering change order processes
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Epicor experience a plus
- Travel up to 10% of the time is required
- APICS and ISM Certifications are preferred
Salary range - $ - $ (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).
Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon's annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
