Supplier Engineer
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the Global Supplier Quality in the Oral Healthcare Business Unit Team. Job Responsibilities include facilitating technical capability assessments of potential new suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards, and contributing to the supplier selection. You will conduct and review DFMAT, SRPQP, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, PV&V, FAI, LRA, and SICR.
You will develop, execute, monitor, and control APQP plans as part of the NPI process to ensure consistent product quality. You will contribute to the content of the Supplier Project Book, documenting detailed quality requirements and expectations for suppliers. You will facilitate collaboration between R&D and suppliers in Design for Excellence (DfX) initiatives to enhance product design quality and innovation.
You will focus on Critical to Quality (CtQ) and Critical to Safety (CtS) characteristics and special process parameters being effectively communicated to suppliers and rigorously maintained throughout the production process. You will coordinate Part Submission Warrant plans, deliverables, line releases, and completion, ensuring all parts meet specified quality standards before approval. You will execute supplier improvement and development initiatives on APQP, providing guidance and resources to enhance supplier processes, ensuring they meet the high standards required for production quality and efficiency.
You will assist with the process of making additions, changes, or deletions to the Approved Supplier List, ensuring that only qualified suppliers are retained. You will support in end-to-end performance management of suppliers, conduct detailed analysis of defects to determine if they are supplier-caused, and act as an independent reviewer for Supplier Corrective Action Requests.
Requirements include a minimum required Education of Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Engineering Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent. Minimum required Experience is 3 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in areas such as Supplier Quality Engineering, Design Engineering, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement Techniques or equivalent. Travel & Schedule Requirements include the ability to travel 30% to supplier sites.
Flexibility to work across different time zones as needed. Preferred Qualifications & Skills include 3-5 years of professional experience, LEAN Six Sigma certification, and skills in Supplier Quality Management, Quality Management Procedures and Methodologies, Supplier Evaluation Methodologies, Supplier Audit Methodologies, Data Analysis & Interpretation, DfX Methodology, Supply Chain Management (SCM), CAPA Methodologies, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Process Validation and Verification (PV&V), First Article Inspections, Documentation & Reporting, Regulatory Requirements, and Continuous Improvement.
