Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard to protect people, property, and assets at client sites. In this role, you will monitor premises, conduct patrols, control access, respond to incidents, and complete accurate reports. You will collaborate with site staff and local authorities as needed, while delivering professional and courteous service. Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned premises on foot and/or by vehicle to deter and detect suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Control access to facilities by verifying identification, badges, and visitor credentials, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas
- Observe and monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems, promptly responding to alerts and unusual activity
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies according to company and client procedures, including escalating to law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation
- Provide professional, courteous customer service to employees, visitors, and clients, offering directions and assistance as needed
- Enforce client policies and procedures while maintaining a respectful and calm presence, using de-escalation techniques when appropriate
- Conduct safety checks, including inspecting doors, windows, gates, and equipment to ensure they are secure and functioning properly
- Participate in required training, drills, and ongoing development to stay current with security best practices, client protocols, and technology tools
- Work collaboratively with fellow security professionals, supervisors, and client representatives to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment
