Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Testing Engineer with a strong background in Hardware Testing. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in software testing, with a proven ability to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing methodologies. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively within a team to deliver high-quality software products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
• Conduct thorough hardware testing to validate the integration and performance of software with hardware components.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
• Perform regression testing and ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide input on testability and quality aspects of the software.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide status reports and updates to project stakeholders on testing progress and results.

Mandatory

Skills:

• Strong knowledge and experience in Hardware Testing.
• Proficiency in software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred

Skills:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in software testing with a focus on hardware testing.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
