Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Skilled Nursing Facility

Southern Nevada State Veterans Home (Boulder City, NV) Hourly Rate: up to $23.11 DOE
Reliable Health Care Services is seeking a dependable and caring Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support veterans within a team-oriented, high-quality nursing home environment. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the CNA assists with residents' activities of daily living (ADLs), monitors health status, supports hydration/nutrition, and helps ensure resident safety and comfort in accordance with facility policies.
Responsibilities Can Include:- 1:1 assistance and companion care
- Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, feeding, and comfort care
- Monitor and report vital signs (including weight and pain levels) to licensed nursing staff promptly
- Ensure residents' hydration and nutrition needs are met; report any concerns regarding intake
- Document care provided and health status observations accurately and timely.
- Respond to resident requests and changes in condition; communicate pertinent information to charge nurse
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment; follow infection control and facility hygiene standards
- Work collaboratively with nursing and other care teams to support continuity of care
- Adhere to all facility and nursing home procedures, including safety and resident rights policies
- Participate in shift reports, hand-offs, and team huddles as required.
- Perform other CNA level duties as assigned by nursing leadership, consistent with the role at the facility
- Valid Nevada CNA certification in good standing
- Current BLS (CPR) issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment
- Strong observational skills, effective communication, and ability to work within a team environment
- Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and respect when interacting with resident veterans
- Ability to work rotating shifts and float as needed
- Must pass required drug and background checks and meet Reliable's employment requirements
