Job TitleSenior Accountant (Year-Round Full-Time)
Compensation and BenefitsProposed hiring rate: $2,653.85 – $2,915.38 biweekly (adjusted based on experience).

The Senior Accountant administers and coordinates general ledger transactions to maintain an accurate balance sheet and ensure truthful financial reporting. The role collaborates with Powdr Corp. accounting to maintain compliance with government and corporate financial regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manage multiple monthly financial close activities, including balance sheet account reconciliations and research of reconciling items.
- Review for accuracy and post journal entries (revenue, payroll, benefits, COGS, AP, AR, inventory adjustments, and other general entries).
- Assist with month-end/year-end close processes, financial reporting, and necessary reviews.
- Review financial transactions and records for accuracy and completeness.
- Support preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and account issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve accounting processes and workflow efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to accounting staff as needed.
- Oversee prepaid expense schedules, reporting, and journal entry posting.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff on proper inventory handling and accounting.
- Assist with ad‑hoc GAAP research and compliance projects.
- Prepare and compile work papers for the year-end audit, working closely with the external audit team.
- Participate in annual property tax functions alongside the Sr. Manager.
- Provide an overview of Capex accounting when necessary.
- Adapt to evolving responsibilities within POWDR-Copper, accepting new tasks and transferring others as needed.
- Act as an ambassador for Copper Mountain, modeling the resort’s culture with guests and employees.
- Uphold a professional image and strive to exceed guest expectations.
- Participate in front-line operations, leadership events, training, and team gatherings.
This position does not directly supervise personnel but works extensively with other teams across the resort.

- 4-year accounting or finance degree required.
- 3–5 years of prior accounting experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience with reconciling cash, cash equivalents, and deferred revenue.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Visually review written and electronic documents.
- Willingly able to learn or possess intermediate level skiing/snowboarding.
- Criminal background check required after acceptance, per Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Profound computer proficiency:
Excel, Word, database management software. - Rapidly learn new applications.
- Active CPA license or actively pursuing CPA licensure.
- Master’s degree in accounting or finance a plus.
- Prior Net Suite experience preferred.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn new skills.
