Senior Cost Accountant
A well-established manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team and play an important role in plant operations, inventory management, and cost analysis. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with operations and using financial data to improve processes, accuracy, and profitability.

Senior Cost Accountant Responsibilities:
- Manage and analyze standard costing, inventory valuation, labor, and overhead allocations
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support month-end close and plant-level financial reporting
- Review BOMs, routings, inventory processes, and manufacturing cost structures
- Oversee inventory processes including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reserve analysis
- Prepare operational reporting, margin analysis, and other financial analyses
- Partner with operations leadership on cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with audits, internal controls, and accounting system/process improvements
Ideal Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of standard costing and inventory valuation
- Experience partnering with plant and operations leadership
- ERP experience and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Process improvement and systems experience is a plus
💰 Salary:
Up to $120K
