Cost Accountant

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Cost Accountant to join their team! This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning core cost accounting and month-end responsibilities in a manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in keeping financial data accurate, supporting inventory controls, and helping drive better visibility into plant performance.

• Process and analyze manufacturing cost transactions
• Review and adjust direct sales cost of goods sold
• Prepare journal entries and month-end close activities
• Analyze inventory balances and cycle count results
• Record monthly period costs and manufacturing variances
• Establish and review standard costs
• Prepare account reconciliations and financial reports
• Analyze budget versus actual manufacturing variances
• Support annual and internal audit activities

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Equivalent education and experience may be considered
• At least 3 years of accounting experience
• At least 1 year of cost accounting experience
• Manufacturing environment experience required
• Strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of GAAP principles
• Understanding of standard cost structures
• Experience with integrated accounting systems
• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Experience with inventory controls
• Background in month-end close processes
• Exposure to financial reporting
• Experience supporting audit requests
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong problem-solving mindset
