In 2019, Acushnet Company partnered with KJUS, joining our brand with other fantastic labels like Titleist, Foot Joy, Scotty Cameron, and Vokey The Customs Manager, Europe is responsible for compliance with customs and trade regulations, liaising between internal departments (logistics, purchasing, sales) and external partners (customs authorities), and ensuring that import and export processes are carried out in accordance with the law.

The role is situated in Germany but has responsibility for the broader global trade function, specifically with respect to the KJUS presence in the UK and Switzerland. The role requires expertise in international trade, compliance, and process management, as well as precision, teamwork, and a results-oriented approach to navigate complex global trade rules and minimize risks.

* ** Compliance:**   + Monitor & manage customs & trade documentation  + Ensure compliance with national and international customs laws, export controls, and sanctions.  + Develop and optimize customs and trade standard operating procedures for import/export.  + Develop control framework over the import/export function in Germany.
* ** Interface:**   + Direct line of communication with Customs Officers and with 3PL (Barth) on any customs matters. including ensuring direct representation for customs and fiscal representation for VAT is aligned, well documented and compliant.  + Direct line of communication with internal departments, i.e., logistics, supply chain, etc pertaining to the movement of goods.  + Interface with the Global Trade team and the KJUS UK team on various initiatives pertaining to valuation, free trade agreements, classification, bonded warehousing & inward processing relief.  

+ Liaise with external advisors and project manager items of collaboration.
* ** Strategy:**   + Advise management on customs issues, tariffs, and the development of trade strategies as part of a Global Trade team.
