About the Role
Halter is looking for a Product Specialist to lead product ownership and development projects in the U.S. You will work closely with Halter HQ in New Zealand, the U.S. commercial team, and ranchers to ensure our product delivers undeniable value in pasture‑based grazing.
Responsibilities- Spend time on ranches with customers, determining what improvements, fixes, or new features are needed to maximize value.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide input and feedback, ensuring the product roadmap aligns with rancher needs.
- Lead projects from design through execution to delivery, driving continuous innovation and product expansion.
- Share in‑depth knowledge of U.S. ranch operations, animals, and virtual fencing with the broader team.
- Work with Territory Managers to maintain strong alignment across the U.S. market.
- Think critically about the product end‑to‑end, proactively and reactively initiating valuable initiatives for ranchers and their cattle.
- Partner with strategic customers to ensure they fully utilize the product and receive maximum value.
- Handle additional tasks as needed to support Halter’s success in the U.S.
- Interest in agri‑tech, tech‑savvy, and a willingness to learn the product’s inner details.
- Ranching experience is required; passion for animals and the future of agriculture.
- Strong teamwork and a positive, resilient attitude, consistently overcoming challenges.
- Experience leading cross‑functional projects or running research trials.
- Fast learner motivated to work hard and grow in a fast‑paced, high‑autonomy environment.
- Proven critical thinking with innovative problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a high level of self‑direction.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including weekends.
