Position: Staff Experience Coordinator

Job Summary

Residence Life is encouraging applications for the Staff Experience Coordinator position. The role focuses on assembling and supporting all Student Staff, Student Leaders, and Professional Staff of Residence Life, coordinating recruitment, onboarding, development, and staff evaluations in alignment with the department’s vision of employee experience.

Key Responsibilities Process Management
  • Implement processes to recruit, hire, train, and evaluate professional staff and student staff/leadership under the direction of the Senior Assistant Director of Staff Experience.
  • Serve as a departmental employment liaison with Student Affairs Human Resources, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Supervise up to two student staff members and develop intentional performance review metrics.
  • Facilitate norming conversations around performance review metrics and develop position‑specific hiring timelines.
  • Maintain ongoing accountability practices, design training, and oversee staff recognition initiatives.
  • Manage the student staff employment opportunities website and advise on payroll policies.
  • Coordinate onboarding instructions, staff pay updates, and training on interview procedures, norming, hiring standards, and bias reduction strategies.
  • Ensure eligibility requirements such as GPA and conduct are met, utilizing CU‑SIS software to verify ongoing compliance.
Operations and Administration
  • Administer current hiring software and maintain user accounts and permissions across all relevant systems.
  • Maintain correspondence with candidates and campus partners, deliver information sessions, and curate accurate standard operating procedures.
  • Administer fiscal processes with integrity, following all federal, state, university, and departmental budget procedures.
Leadership and Strategic Planning
  • Provide leadership for strategic planning, implementation, and assessment initiatives across Residence Life and Student Affairs.
  • Participate in vision creation, resource allocation, and strategic implementation.
  • Represent Residence Life on campus, chair and participate in departmental committees, and monitor the student employment payroll budget.
External Relations
  • Support external collaborators and facilitate hiring processes for Conference Services Student Staff.
  • Collaborate with HR to complete background checks, compensation, and I‑9 paperwork for all staff.
  • Coordinate with HR and IT for new hires to receive Staff IDs, computer access, scheduling software, and card access.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans in partnership with campus stakeholders.
Emergency Response
  • Uphold crisis response policies and serve as a Campus Security Authority for incident reporting.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid work opportunity with a regular schedule of Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, including occasional night and weekend requirements.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $52,000–$57,375.
