Description

In this role, you will serve as a trusted partner to the CEO and leadership team, helping translate strategic priorities into coordinated action across the company. You will lead high-impact initiatives, improve organizational execution, facilitate collaboration across departments, and ensure that critical company objectives continue moving forward. This role requires exceptional judgment, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to operate comfortably across engineering, operations, business development, finance, and administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CEO to drive execution of strategic priorities across the company
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that span multiple departments and require executive coordination
  • Identify organizational obstacles and proactively drive solutions to improve execution and communication
  • Develop decision materials, analyses, and recommendations to support executive and board decision-making
  • Coordinate strategic planning processes, company objectives, and major organizational initiatives
  • Track progress against company priorities and ensure accountability for key deliverables
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among senior leaders
  • Lead special projects on behalf of the CEO, including organizational improvements, facility initiatives, business process improvements, and strategic growth efforts
  • Develop and improve management operating systems, including executive meetings, strategic reviews, and initiative tracking
  • Build trusted relationships across the organization while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and discretion
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, management, or a related technical discipline
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations for executive decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to independently identify problems, propose solutions, and drive

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, an MBA, or related field MBA
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or other highly technical industries
  • Experience supporting executive leadership or senior management
  • Experience leading organizational change initiatives
  • Familiarity with government contracting and defense industry environments
  • Experience with strategic planning, operational excellence, or business operations
  • Experience preparing executive or board-level presentations and analysis

Supervisory Responsibility

This role may supervise at least one direct report.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Typical office hours include Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; however, these hours may vary based on workload and the manager's discretion.

Travel

About 10% travel is expected for this position.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. The employee will also regularly be seated at a desk and using a computer.
